CISI GSO Investment Solvency: Agent vs Fiduciary Liability

Good evening to all my fellow finance colleagues here. I am writing as a veteran compliance officer based in Riyadh as I prepare for the CISI GSO exam while trying to balance this with my day job. I have been following this forum for a few weeks and I must sincerely thank you all for the invaluable information you share regarding the syllabus. I have hit a small wall with one of the study materials and was hoping for a quick clarification if possible. Could you please explain the practical difference in liability when acting as an agent against acting in a fiduciary capacity under the InvestmentSolvency rules? I want to make sure I understand this distinction perfectly before I sit the test.
