UAE FRR vs IISI guidelines for offshore trusts

I think I might actually have a breakdown staring at these revision notes. I have spent the last three hours trying to memorise the chapter on estate planning under CME-1 but the terminology is just getting faster than my brain can process. It feels impossible to retain all this detail while also worrying about the time. Can anyone clarify exactly how the UAE FRR differs from the IISI guidelines when it comes to the protection of assets held within offshore trusts? I am panicking because the past papers suggest they expect us to know the specific legal framework rather than just the general principles.

Oh my god the FRR vs IISI stuff had me tearing my hair out last week too just put the laptop down for twenty minutes give the brain a rest or you'll blank completely on the exam day staring at the words doesn't matter if the stress shuts down the retention deep breaths

frr is all you need to worry about for the uae exam because iis guidelines are just for international context and they aren't binding here am i going crazy or did CME-1 change the required documentation for offshore trusts last month i spent three hours on this and now i forgot it all regulation 12.3.ghb is going to eat me alive ah i just found a link that might help with rules and regs: https://exams.academy/certifications/undefined/ good luck everyone you are stronger than this test.

cme-1 is just risk logic not a monologue. ignore the confusing iis text just memorise the frr sections or you will fail. i used this course https://exams.academy/certifications/cisi-risk-in-financial-services/ and it saved my score because it focuses on the core principles.

that is truly awful i have been managing a branch for 30 years and sometimes the legacy rules make me lose sleep too thank goodness this community exists to help us through i am focusing heavily on the UAE FRR section myself as i think it carries the most weight for branch operations i hope you find a way to make the estate planning stick just do your best and try not to get too stressed i personally found that breaking the text down line by line helped me navigate the iis guidelines without getting overwhelmed thank you so much for sharing this i used exams.academy/certifications/cisi-risk-in-financial-services/ and i really recommend giving that a look for the regulatory parts or you might get confused by all the acronyms
