COMPLIANCE PARALEGAL

  • Trinity Estates • £Competitive, aligned to experience • Hybrid

ROLE OVERVIEW

  • We need a Compliance Paralegal who can take full ownership of data protection and information governance matters across Trinity Property Group, handling them accurately, diligently and within legislative timescales, without being micromanaged.
  • You’ll be a pivotal part of our growing in-house legal team, reporting to the Head of Legal and acting as the main point of accountability for Subject Access Requests, GDPR compliance and data breach management across the organisation.
  • This is a role where detail matters and timelines are non-negotiable. You’ll be trusted to manage your own workload and know when to escalate.

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

  • This is a detailed, process-driven role that requires exceptional organisation, a sound understanding of UK data protection law and confidence working with stakeholders across all levels of the business.
  • You will need to balance multiple workstreams simultaneously, meet strict legislative deadlines and maintain meticulous records throughout.
  • You will be expected to take ownership of your responsibilities, identify issues early and provide clear, helpful guidance to colleagues, rather than simply processing requests in isolation.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

You’ll be successful in this role if

  • Subject Access Requests and associated data subject requests are managed accurately and within legislative timescales
  • GDPR documentation is maintained and up to date
  • Data breaches are handled promptly, with thorough documentation and appropriate regulatory reporting
  • Colleagues across TPG feel supported and well-guided on information governance matters

HOW YOU’LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME

Most weeks, you’ll be

  • Monitoring the relevant internal mailbox and managing responses to Data Subject Access Requests and other Data Subject Data Requests, including document review, redaction and deadline tracking
  • Monitoring and managing Data Protection Compliance matters and maintaining GDPR documentation
  • Assisting with data breach management, including fact-finding, documentation and regulatory reporting support
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders, the IT team and external Counsel on privacy-related and data breach matters
  • You’ll work on a hybrid basis, trusted to manage your time and priorities effectively.

WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR

This role suits someone who

  • Has a law degree or equivalent qualification
  • Has a sound understanding of UK GDPR and data protection legislation
  • Is highly organised and able to manage competing deadlines without compromising accuracy
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knows when to work independently and when to seek guidance
  • Handles sensitive information with discretion and professionalism

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS

  • Previous experience in a legal, compliance or regulatory environment
  • Practical knowledge of UK GDPR and data protection compliance processes
  • Familiarity with Subject Access Request handling and data breach management
  • Knowledge of residential property management or the property sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Competitive salary, aligned to experience
  • Company car or car allowance for field-based roles
  • 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
  • Pension scheme
  • Vitality private healthcare
  • Perkbox membership with discounts across retail, travel and entertainment
  • Fully funded training and professional development, including paid study leave
