Finally Passed CMA Saudi CME-4: Director Level on 3rd Try

Finally cracked CMA Saudi CME-4 after three attempts. I moved from Doha to Riyadh last year specifically to target that 45k SAR NET package for senior auditors that the biggest firms are hoarding right now. This exam feels significantly more aggressive than the international counterpart because the Saudiization drive (Nitaqat) accounted for a massive chunk of the scenario questions, mixing strict labor law compliance with recent Shariah taxation updates that were nowhere in the standard practice tests. If you aren't aggressively studying KSOP 4 in detail alongside the new international IFRS service concession agreements, you will choke on the practical case studies. The target costing calculations were surprisingly dense and deceptive, they didn't just ask for the standard formula, they threw in foreign exchange risk valuations that necessitated four different steps just to narrow down the correct answer. Then you had to deal with those specific government treasury questions referencing Mofawj guidelines which were incredibly niche. I spent way too much time on the planning horizons and forgetting to layer in the agile budgeting adjustments that are becoming standard in currency fluctuation recovery clauses. Looks like I'm finally eligible for the Director level salary bump.

Congratulations! That is a great achievement to land such a specific NET package after moving from Doha. I agree, the ICWIM standards seem much more rigorous compared to the global version.

The ICWIM component adds a unique layer of difficulty, but remember that consistency is like compound interest; your daily effort adds up to that 45k package eventually.

You must drill down into the specific enforcement standards of CME-1 compared to CME-4; the distinction between money laundering flags and fiscal evasion in the banking sector is a grudge point for regulators and examiners love testing that exact boundary: /certifications/cme-2b-ar/

Congratulations on your perseverance and for landing that package in Riyadh; please accept my sincere thanks for sharing your journey as it provides such great motivation for everyone studying. I have used /certifications/cisi-gscmr/ extensively in my own revision and highly recommend it for the regulatory updates.
