RES 12B is the combined CMFAS module for securities and derivatives dealers acting for principals that are not members of an approved exchange. The course keeps the two official study scopes distinct: seven RES 1B securities chapters and seven RES 2B derivatives chapters.
Study Singapore market structure, CMS licensing and operations, securities and derivatives market conduct, professional ethics, securities dealing, CPFIS, OTC derivatives, derivatives strategy and financial-crime controls. The current official RES 1B update is applied throughout the relevant CPFIS material.
The official examination contains 60 multiple-choice and multiple-response questions, lasts 90 minutes and requires 75% to pass. Each course mock follows that structure. Combination questions preserve multiple-response reasoning within the platform's one-answer format. IBF does not publish chapter weights, so the mock allocation is a transparent practice design covering both modules rather than an official weighting claim.
