UAE CMA Confusion: Fiduciary Duties & Treasury Bills

I am grinding through the revision for the UAE CMA module because I cannot compromise on my bonuses this year. The new regulatory framework has completely shifted how we handle custodial accounts for high-net-worth individuals, and the density of the IISI chapter on fiduciary duties is overwhelming. I am struggling to distinguish between the standard client instructions required by the CME-1 syllabus and the strict legal mutuality demands of the UAE FRR. If I do not master the distinction regarding who can act as witness for a client signature, I will miss critical questions that could cost my firm its regulatory license. Does anyone have a clear clarification on the deposit calculation downtime for treasury bills under the new safe custody rules? The study text seems to contradict itself on page 112 regarding the exact three-business-day window versus the twelve-month credit period mentioned in the regulatory updates. Passing is the only path to the next salary bracket.

I totally hear you about the IISI chapter; those fiduciary duties are pure memorization overhead. Just keep drilling the scenarios until the logic becomes muscle memory.

Thank you so much for sharing your specific struggle with the new UAE FRR framework versus the IISI standards; it is reassuring to know that even the experienced associates find the fiduciary duties layer difficult. I totally get that feeling of being overwhelmed by the density, especially when trying to differentiate between the standard treasury bill requirements and custodial account compliance rules. I have found that reviewing the detailed breakdown of conduct regulations in /certifications/cisi-ukfr/ really helps clarify the specific obligations. Wishing you all the very best with your revision this week
