How to Use Mock Exams Effectively

  1. Start Early: Don’t wait until the week before your exam to take a mock. Start taking practice questions as soon as you finish the first chapter.
  2. Review Explanations: The real value is in the explanations. Read them carefully, even for questions you got right.
  3. Simulate Exam Conditions: Take at least two full mock exams under strict timed conditions to build your stamina.
  4. Separate the Loss Layers: A duplicate payment is the event, weak maker-checker design may be the cause, cash loss and remediation are impacts, and recovery is not the preventive control. Record all four when a scenario is wrong.
